1. After you eat

If you brush your teeth immediately after you eat, you push the acid deeper into the tooth enamel, causing the enamel to weaken and break down. While waiting to brush your teeth, it is recommended that you rinse your mouth with water to neutralize your mouth’s pH levels after a meal.
2. After you regurgitate your food
As unusual as this may sound, you have to wait to brush your teeth after you have vomited. Vomit contains high levels of gastric acid that erode tooth enamel. When the enamel erodes, it leaves teeth temporarily tender, making it susceptible to damage. After vomiting, it is best to rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash, and then wait for 30 minutes to pass before brushing your teeth and slaying your sickness.
3. After someone else has used your toothbrush
Although it is acceptable to exchange saliva while kissing, sharing a toothbrush is completely different. Sharing a toothbrush is not only unhygienic, but it also has some medical risks. This is because brushing can cause the gums to bleed, which in turn exposes everyone you share your brush with to blood stream diseases.
